Was the best advice from a friend of mine for my first international trip. And boy, she was spot on. Nothing, and I mean nothing, happened at a rapid pace. It was different and ultimately very nice.
That advice is best also to cascade to learning something new. Teaching something new. There will be mistakes. Oversights. Learning as you go. All of that is ok. Set a schedule. Set milestones. Set (realistic) expectations. Have everyone be a part of the planning, as appropriate, for certain parts. Overcommunicate.
And be ready for the turn. Because as you and your team “Master Phase I’, it’s time for the next Phase. Go get ’em.
